7 Steps To The Perfect Rainy Day Wedding

Brightly coloured wellies or even Weddington boots are a must for a rainy day wedding. Don't spoil your shiny shoes boys and girls your pretty heels definitely won’t look great covered in mud. So make sure you have wellies to put on so when you venture out in the rain for photographs. You can splish splash in the puddles with the knowledge your shoes will be clean and ready for the dance floor later on.

Now that it's raining more than ever, know that we'll still have each other, you can stand under my umbrella!

Whether it's pretty or plain an umbrella is a practical must for any rainy wedding. Make your umbrellas a feature of your wedding.

Stick to your plan.

If you plan to walk from the ceremony to the reception (providing you're not going to get totally drenched) share your umbrella and walk hand in hand to your wedding breakfast. Don’t let the weather dictate your wedding day.

Many Hands.

Involve your bridal party and guests in helping to keep you and your partner stay dry. Lots of people holding umbrellas also makes a great feature in your wedding photos.

Take Shelter.

Arches, doors ways and under trees are fantastic places to take shelter from the rain. I have no problem whats so ever in standing out in rain to get you that perfect shot. The most important thing to me is that you guys are happy and dry.

I want to stay dry too.

Make sure if you have any children at wedding that you have provisions to keep them dry as well. Although muddy knee slides would make great photos! Soggy suites and grumpy children make for a very long day for Mum’s and Dad’s.

Come rain or shine, you’re marrying your true love. If it’s going to rain it's going to rain. There's nothing you can do to stop it. So make sure you both enjoy your day and make it fun, embrace the weather there will be many days of sunshine ahead.
