With all this glorious sunshine it's hard to believe that a several weeks ago we were caught in the middle of the Beast from the East. Dealing with snow, ice, freezing temperatures and causing headaches from many who were preparing to get married that weekend. Like for Claire and David who had planned a beautiful country wedding in the idyllic setting of Ash Barton Estate in North Devon, with a picnic style wedding breakfast to be held outside.
The weather is the only thing you cannot guarantee on your wedding day! So as much as you can prepare for the cold and miserable rain, it's a whole new ball game having to deal with the extreme effects of Winter in March. But it was throughly heart warming to see how a community comes alive in times of need. Such as nearby farmers offering their vehicles to get all the caters in and ferry wedding guest back and forth.
Everyone was advised to wrap up warm and bring extra layers and blankets. By the end of the night I ended up wearing a t- shirt, shirt, jumper and my body warmer, two pairs of socks and my gloves!! But Claire was hardcore! She wore her beautiful wedding dress right through to the evening when she then teamed it with a fuchsia pink bolero, which co-ordinated with the bright and bold pink and orange theme.
It was a pleasure to capture Claire and Davids special day. Take a look through a selection of their images, I would love to know what you think.
