Woolacombe Bay Wedding | Sophie & Jack
What a beaut of a day it turned out to be for Sophie and Jacks gorgeous wedding at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel, North Devon. Sophie and Jack booked me for their wedding photography way back in 2017! These guys were super, super organised and I like that :)
Sophie and Jack are a gorgeous couple who share many fun moments together. They have so much love for each other and such a big heart for all the people in their lives. We were incredibly lucky with the weather on their spring pre wedding shoot which was down on Fremington Quay in North Devon and their wedding day was even better! Have a sneaky peek at their pre wedding shoot.
As Jack got ready at his parents house, Sophies day started at her parents house with her Mum and bridesmaids all having hair and make up done. It’s always so refreshing to see the bridal party chilled and relaxed and oh my word, there was such an awesome spread of breakfast food. So much too choose from; cereal, porridge, croissants, fruit or cookies! After a good fill of food Sophie got her dress on complimented by her white converse trainers decorated with sparkles and finished white satin ribbon. I mean how cool is that? Comfort over fashion and the bridesmaids had matching trainers with deep red ribbon to co-ordinated with their dresses. Love it!
I caught up with Jack and his best man at St Peters church in Fremington and got a few relaxed shots of them arriving at the church. I do love it when the old wedding traditions are brought back. For Sophie and Jack good luck is sure to rub off on them as a lucky chimney sweep greeted them on their arrivals at the church. The ceremony was beautiful and whilst serious had its elements of fun too.
After the ceremony all the guests lined the pathway ready for a great confetti shot. Whilst everyone was gathered together I jumped on this opportunity to get a big group shot before everyone started to make their way to the Woolacombe Bay Hotel for the wedding reception. Here we took family and wedding party shots. I whisked the bride and groom off for stroll around the grounds to do their intimate couple shots with the stunning hotel as a backdrop. Then it was back to the hotel to get the wedding party started. The dance floor was hopping all night thanks to the awesome sounds of the Wedding Spinner!
In the evening we snuck out for some night time portraits with smoke grenades - how cool is that! and fireworks. Whoop whoop, I’m supper stoked that we did. I love all these shots!
All in all, it was a truly amazing day! Sophie and Jack you totally compliment each other, no one deserves this perfect day more than the two of you. I am just thrilled that I could document your special day and all the love that you are both surrounded in.
Check out a few of my favourite shots of this amazing summer wedding. Enjoy!
